Case Study
StreamYard / Social Media & Community / November 2020 – November 2022
StreamYard was a fast-growing live video SaaS platform when I joined in November 2020 as the dedicated social media and community lead. The Facebook community had around 7,500 members. Two years later, it had grown to more than 26,000, a global community of creators, marketers, and entrepreneurs across dozens of countries.
Community growth required real programming. I ran a weekly post where members could share and promote their upcoming live streams, two co-hosted brand shows, and three free week-long training cohorts that walked roughly 200 participants each through live streaming from scratch. One April, I ran VEDA (Video Every Day in April), going live in the group daily and challenging members to do the same on their own channels, building consistency and confidence with live video.
I was part of the team that produced several large-scale virtual events, including the Live Stream Success Summit (a full-day event with expert sessions, technical AMAs, and mastermind panels) and a keynote event featuring Gary Vaynerchuk. I recruited and managed three moderators based in the UK, South Africa, and Australia. When a StreamYard user launched an organic Spanish-language community, I partnered with him to bring it under the brand umbrella. He stayed as lead moderator, I shaped the content and format, and it grew to 1,400+ members.
Brand social ran in parallel across every channel. Over the same two years, Instagram grew from 7,112 to 26,203 followers, LinkedIn from 1,580 to 7,173, and the Facebook Page from 65,754 to 146,522 fans. YouTube reached 71,606 subscribers.
"She steadily and surely grew the community and social programs for the brand and took care to make sure that everyone in the community was cared for and well respected."
