About Julie Riley
Fifteen years in, and the throughline hasn't changed: take a blank page and a business problem, and build a program that lasts. I've done it as a team of one inside other people's companies, as an agency owner, and now as the person ConstructConnect trusts to run brand, demand gen, and product marketing across six platforms without a team behind me.
Background
I started in 2015 managing social for more than 20 clients across industries at RSM Marketing. From there, I launched my own agency, then co-founded Depict Media, where I built and ran client social programs across industries from 2018 until 2021.
StreamYard came next. I led global social and community strategy for two years, growing the brand's community from around 7,500 members to more than 26,000, alongside steady growth across every channel. That work is independently documented in an Agorapulse customer success story and backed by a LinkedIn recommendation from my direct manager.
I joined ConstructConnect in 2024 as the sole owner of social media across six platforms with no playbook and no inherited systems. Today I run strategy and execution for a B2B construction technology company: planning, paid, influencer partnerships, employee advocacy, YouTube growth, and reporting that ties back to pipeline.
Different industries, different teams, the same approach every time: build the system, tie it to the business outcome, run it without a team of ten.
Expertise
I build social programs from zero: strategy, systems, content, and measurement included. I run full social ecosystems solo across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, and whatever platform comes next. I translate dense or technical material into content people actually stop to read.
I was doing live video and community before most brands knew it mattered, and I've spoken internationally on the practical, unglamorous side of social strategy.
If you need someone who can build the whole system and run it, not just hand you a content calendar, that's the conversation worth having.
